Neon Signs

I'm a bit of a nostalgia buff, even things that predate me by several decades.  I'm not sure how to explain it, but I like seeing reminders of the way things used to be.  Don't get me wrong, as I don't want to go through life without the modern technology and other conveniences that I have been accustomed to.  However, when I see an old fashioned neon sign, I think about all of the people who have passed the sign over the course of many decades.  If the sign still works. it lets me know these are the places that have remained in business for quite a while and they like to take care of the little things to make sure that neon tube still lights up.  Other times, you see a ghost sign for a place that nobody has been in a generation.  If you ever see a picture of a city from 60+ years ago, most of the businesses have one of these signs, but fewer of these treasures remain today.  Yes, most places today have signs, but today's signs usually don't have anything special about them - they're all the same.  For the rare exception where they do have something special, I have included those on the map, as well as a few vintage wall murals.
